Did mine by putting a blow dryer to it so it would loosen up the adhesive some...came right off

I just did the same thing for my 06 Fatboy and ended up with a few minor scratches. I plan on getting a fender bib so they don't bother me. The protective film came right off with no problems except that it left the adhesive residue and trying th get that off is where you have to be careful. I tried applying a few different cleaning gels & waxes and I'm sure that kept many scratches off but I was still able to put a few on there. This probably wasn't much help and I appoligize but I guess what I'm saying is if you can live with a few minor scratches then do what I did. If you can't then be extremely careful. And I have no suggestion how to do that.

yeah blow dryer probably your best bet. I thought about that but after the fact and it was too late then.

good luck and let's hear how it turns out when you're done.
