Can't decide. Either would look fine I think.

I'd go with a cheaper side mount, but I'll be putting my bags on this one so you wouldn't be able to see the plate.

I vote for the chrome, unless your bike is mostly blacked out.
What do you mean when you say, you wont be able to see the plate?

If I go to a swingarm plate mount (as others have suggested), it wouldn't work. The bags would hide the plate

the stock is black already, chrome is ok how about a 3rd option? get rid of it there and put the plate on the side
