Default Chome Switch Housings

I am looking to replace the stock switch housing and master cylinder to chrome. I am looking at $160 for the two from Kuryakyn and about $500 for them from Harley. The parts department at Harley said the Harley parts were better and the Kuryakyn parts peeled after awhile. Is this true. If you own either, I would like to get your opinion of them.

I bought the Cap Switch covers today from Harley, just need to complete the set.

i got the entire set from Harley, switches and master cylinders and so far no complaints. the chrome is outstanding. i would think you would have to be weary of the chrome job on the Kuryakyn parts (being that they are selling so cheap).

anyways, i've had mine for a while and no complaints.

That's a great question. I haven't heard any complaints about Kuryakyn chrome. I have their fold down luggage rack and it seems to be of good quality.

I am curious to hear what people with experience have to say as well.

That's something I would expect a dealership to say.

In my experience, Kuryakyn has been around for a long time and it's pretty quality stuff. I've had Kuryakyn chrome on plenty of bikes throughout the years and I've never been dissapointed.

Just my .02

Bought the Harley chrome switch housings about 2 yrs. ago from local stealer. No issues, very nice product. Just went with the chrome master cylinder covers though, didnt want to over do the chrome. A little bit of chrome here and there looks nice, to much to tacky. To each his own i guess, just my 2 cents.

Funny how Kury actually supplies some of the factory parts to Harley.
