The one at kuryakyn don't look anything like the OEM version but the "stealers" always have a huge markup so if you can find the same one somewhere else they'll almost positively be cheaper.
i got the entire set from Harley, switches and master cylinders and so far no complaints. the chrome is outstanding. i would think you would have to be weary of the chrome job on the Kuryakyn parts (being that they are selling so cheap).
anyways, i've had mine for a while and no complaints.
I've seen and owned kuryakyn parts...I would never doubt the quality of the chrome.
I don't think it's a fair comparison based on the price. you're paying for the HD name...not quality.
Never compare items based on price. What about the same bottle of shampoo at Walmart for 99 cents and 1.29 at Wal-Greens. Does that mean that the one at Wal-greens is better even though it's EXACTLY the same?

Take it for what it's worth, but my bike is 18 years old now, and the chrome on the original HD parts survived the years far better than the Kuryakyn parts.
I replaced my switch housings with the HD chrome ones a couple years ago, and am very happy with them. At first I tried to save money by going with a set of generic Custom Chrome switches, but they were junk, so I returned them and got the HD ones and never looked back.
Thumbs up on Kury products. They are very good quality. Used them for years. I can tell you not all housings are the same though. Saw a few in my day that were cheap in respects to material rather then chrome. The cheapies usually pull the threads out and strip.
I have never used the switch housings, but have kind of had mixed results with Kuryakn. Some of their stuff is very good, other stuff not so much. With that being said, although expensive, the Harley stuff is top notch chrome and OEM parts. For me, that is worth a little more.
