help with rocker box removal (twin cam )

I'm sending out the tanks and fenders off my crossbones for paint and want to put on powder coated rocker box covers ( top only ). I've searched for some advice and help would go a long way

Do you want to buy powdercoated ones and replace the originals or take off the orginals and send them out for coating? Search ebay for black ones at a decent price and get a service manual to walk you through taking them off and repalcing them. I ahve not done it, but If the tank is already off it shouldn't be too difficult.

You need to make sure you unload the lifters for each cylinder your working on... and take off in the pattern the manual describes.

wrap them in masking tape to keep from damaging in any way.
