A little piece of the end of a cable tie is enough to keep the micro switch safe. Some white grease on the pivot is good while everythings open. The clutch lever is a lot easier to change if you put slack in the cable.

the service manual covers all this stuff right? i'm gonna change mine as soon as i get my bike back

I'll second DaddyKnuck's advice, it worked for me. Takes longer to read how to do it than doing it.

I changed mine today...Very, Very simple!!!! I was worried about the brake, but after i took the pin out, the lever just fell right out...No problem...I even forgot to borrow snap ring pliers so i had to do it the hard way....Thanks for all the advice!!!! You guys know your ****!!!
