Gotta love that 'Bones fender. The only thing better is to have a hugger that finishes above the rear axle line, but that means no fender struts & no fender struts means no luggage, so it's a complete no-no for me. Whats the point of having a bike & only going round the block on it?
Why not get an older HD & chop it around rather than spend loads on an expensive new one?
I love stainless too - if I could I'd change out ALL chrome bits for stainless! No rust/seizures, easy clean, distinct colouring & totally different to the zillions of other chromed out bikes.
although the fat boy rear fenders have definitely grown on me since getting my softail standard, the idea of this bike needs small fenders.
This is the Harley's production 'Bobber-esque' bike and so the short fenders kinda work for it. Although I think the fender should have been smaller and mounted to the swingarm so it could just hug the rear tire. And as far as the front fender... that would be the first thing to go.
Also White Guy changed his fender at one time and had numerous posts and pics of the design, fitment, etc. Do a search for his posts and you probably can find them also.

This bike looks awsome in the green ..not many of these around. Up for Sale on Ebay. Check out the page, for some more pics.
That green one looks ok, but the rear looks like it is missing something. Actually if it had a sissy bar, I think it would look killer. It looks odd with the current setup.
