thankfully, i have an 07 and have not had any issues with the offset or uneven tire wear. i would not expect HD to step up and fix your problem and you shoud think of some other way to resolve the issue. i'm sure HD already has enough on their minds with CVO 110 engine problems that all those owners are having with their leaking rear cylinder gaskets ! ! ! Did Harley step up there ?
I also have an 07 Fatboy and have experienced the abnormal tire wear, but have not noticed the bike leaning more to one side or having an odd vibration at high speed. I have approx 5600 miles on the origianl tires. My rear tire displays normal tire wear, but just today a co-worker pointed out the front tire was wearing in an uneven manner. I searched out tire wear on the HD Forum and here I am finding others having the same issue.
Unfortunetly I live in Okinawa, Japan and I must work all my warrenty issues through the base exchange and the local harely dealer. I will be contacting them on monday morning, has anyone had any luck getting support from HD?
Same (kinda on my 07). I got the bike with 13k on the odometer, and almost immediately noticed a clunking sound coming from the front forks when I hit a bump. Didnt much care at first, but it got progressively louder. I also noticed the bike leaned to the right at highway speeds, and eventually the right side of the tire wore out.
With 2 weeks left on the factory warranty, I took it to the dealer to complain. 3 weeks later I got the bike back fixed for free. The work order states:
RECOMMENDATIONS: "Noise is covered under tech tip 310. It is reference # 910456."
RESOLUTION: "Replaced fork tubes as per tech tip. Made neck bearing adjustment."
Tah-DAH! No more noise and with around 8000 miles on the new front tire, no more uneven tire wear.

Hope this helps. Tom
is your front tire still offset? check the distance from the fork to the fender. see if even spaced. i have filed my complaint a few years ago. i have just gone thru the second set of wheel bearings. warranty expired yesterday
I got the same story from HD Japan as alot of folks in the states are getting. They told me the bike is fine and it's a tire problem. I have the base exchanged invovled now and they will address the issue with HD. I've attached some better photos of the offset and the tire wear.
Bought my 07 fatboy used. Is there an easy way to find out if the "problem" was fixed on my bike. The forks do look crooked from the seat, but I've never noticed any tire wear abnormality or pulling sensations. Been very happy so far. Alarming thread...
