Really one of the things that bothers me about the front wheel offset on a '07 FB is the lack of availability of HD custom wheels. If you look in the HD catalog there is only maybe one set of HD custom wheels available for that year Fatty. Other wheel manufacturers want way, way too much for their wheels, like the avarage price is around $1,500 each.
HD has some good looking reasonably priced wheels, just not for the '07 FB.
nice paint danny d. i have almost 10k on my 07fb with no problems i was thinking of changing to 08 front end chrome kit and fix the offset but found brand 07 chrome lowers on ebay for 99.00 free shipping and handling and said hell with the offset. i aslo had to buy the cowbells, backplates, and trim. Any way i just got everthing installed along with my new 21x3.5 front wheel from coastal moto. looks and feels great just waiting for my klocks werk fender to come back from the paint shop this week. pictures coming soon
Thanks for the updates and replies Oh, and nice bikes guys!
I'm not worried or concerned about tire wear or rideability, mines fine in that regard... I have no problem nor do I lose sleep over the issue. HD should have been more concerned about what might happen to a small percentage of customer base and customer loyalty though.
I was only looking for some info because I want to chrome my legs and if in the process I could center my wheel.... then bonus! Since the 08 legs seem to accomplish both tasks, I was wondering if this is a viable option. Otherwise I'm fine with leaving it and going the same route as babysuge
Oh and babysuge, thanks for the info on the 99.00 ebay option!
....... I'm still hoping to hear from someone that has done the swap to the 08 though!!
Got over11k on mine and it is cupping the front tire on right side. I am pleased with the handling of the bike. First I'm hearing of this type of problem. Gonna have to check in further now!!!
I had a problem with cupping and I wasn't checking my tire pressure every time I rode. After I changed out the tire I made sure the tires were properly inflated and the issued is resolved.

Wow nice babysuge!
I like what you're doing I like the drag bars and the rims set it off nicely! So those are the ebay lower legs? The legs are for the 07 with the offset correct? I'm still dying to find someone that has put the 08 on to verify that it works! I still think if we were to go to 08 legs and centered the wheel that it would be off center of the rear wheel..... but it seems to be fine with other model years of the fatboy with a 200 rear, what a freeking dilema...... if HD would only tell the reason for the offset then it would be done and over with, we'd know and then we'd know what we can and can't do!
Keep those pictures coming babysuge!
Sweet ride bro!
