Duece bags on a Night Train??
I'm new here and was wondering if I could get a helping hand. I have a '03 Night Train and want to get some bags for it for occasional overnight trips and such. I came across a set of bags that I like the style of for a steal of a deal but here's the catch, they are for a Duece. I've never gotten up close and personal with a Duece saddlebag mounting bracket before and was wondering how much different they are from a Night Train mounting. Or, has anyone ever tried to make a braket to adapt Duece bags onto a Softail.
I am a machinist by day so I'm thinking something could be made but wanted some opinions.
Thanks everyone.
Does any know the the bolt spacing for mounting bags on a Night Train and bolt spacing for a Duece. My bike is in storage so I can't go out and measure the spacing on mine. From the pictures I've seen the Duece Bolts look pretty close together while the Train's are pretty far apart. Maybe 14" or so. So would a braket with the correct spacing to bolt on the NT with two tapped holes in the middle with the correct spacing for the Duece work? The bolts head would be in the bag right?
Would I have to relocate my turn signals to add any bags on my bike?
