If anyone has any cool ideas on some hard bags for a Night Train, please send me some pictures or a link. I have the detachable seat and am thinking I would like some bags, too.
I once saw some great looking industrial boxes (more refined than the BMW cases) painted to match the bike colors and thought they looked great. If you have any ideas, please send them over.
It's that or I find a used Road King Custom and put apes on it.
IMOP they do not look right on a train, but there are a few guys on here that have hard bags on there train. They are slightly customized but it works.
Same reason I would rather watch my bike get hit by a freight train than have chrome on the heads. It's my bike.
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! Good answer!! There are some peeps on here with hard bags on their Trains. Maybe do a search. One even has a detachable trunk on his. Like you said, it's your bike and you should fix it up how you want it.
I have seen peeps with detachable ones also, they dont like that bad but really only using them for long trips and stuff. There is a guy in my town that has them, i will try to stop him next time I see and ask who makes them.
Everyones bike is their own, so if you want bags, get em. The bike is for you, not everyone else.
I think one guy used street glide bags and modified his. Also think they only use them on long trips...... Good one by the way.... chrome heads!!!! hahaha
Maybe find some re-pop "bubble bags" from the '50s. If you've got the hole spacing right, and make sure they are spaced for clearance to any moving items, you can mount directly to the fender rails.
