Would there be any reason not to remove the center baffle plug on a new softail? Pipes and stage 1 down the road but for now just looking for a little more sound. I have read the write up on this site and its sounds very easy.
Other than the possibility of losing a tiny fraction of the torque in the low end, nope.
And it does sound better, not as good as my BR's, but lots better than it did when it left the dealers.
Expecially when you twist the right grip, HARD.
PS if you have one I recomend doing it with a hole saw on an extension.
The chop and bend method using a long screwdriver and a 21mm socket works, but the hole saw does it quicker, easier, and cleaner.
