The builder was her father.. I know it costs a lot of money to build, they just dont use it ever, dont want it and its up to me to sell it or it will just sit there unused. I would ride it, but like i said I would like to extend the rake out and put a wider tire on the rear.
I guess i've posted up here because i haven't gotten any response around my area and needed a little advice/help to see if i'm on the right track.. just gotta keep trying.

That bike was very nice ! I think I need to take the bike into a couple local shops and see what their opinions are first.. it just needs a little TLC and i'm sure it can go quickly, I am worried about the dent in the side of it. It isn't big or anything i just dont know if it can be popped out without damaging the paint, repainting it would not be fun. We were trying to move it from our house to theirs and while it was in the bed it slipped and fell on the side of the truck. I guess i'll take it in and we can go from there.

I found out the hard way that most 2nd hand buyers want a stock painted bike as everyone’s taste differs.

And if someone is looking for a “boutique” bike they usually have the $$$ to go new.

You have a limited market but you can find a buyer, I do think you will get nowhere near its real value, as the value of anything is what someone will pay for it.

As far as changing it I don’t think it will be worth it unless you do the work your self, except for the paint & welding you will be spending another 10k to make it look like the bike in the pic.

good lock with it, unfortunately the dent in the tank is killer dammed if you fix it dammed if you don’t, probably better off trying to sell it as is at a reduced $$$ if no takers then get someone one to repair it & match the scheme

Screw the wedding. Go to the local JP and get married and keep the bike. After some time, you will forget the wedding, mbut you will still have the scooter.

Default identify softail

your bike is a "custom built" softail isn't it? Your title should list the manufacturer. I have an 01 American Quantum with a 96" S & S that was my brothers. Unfortunately, American Quantum was only in business for about 3 years. Therefore, as is the case with many limited run custom manufactured bikes, there is not a "book value". That makes it difficult for a prospective buyer to get a loan ( other than a personal non-secured) on this type of bike. It's a shame because only top flight components, nearly all billet were used. The swallow tail tanks on yours resemble the American Quantum Cruiser's. I posted a pic below I hope. Bottom line - look at the title to see who is listed as manufacturer. Then see what the market will bear on price.
