Default Help identify my Soft Tail !?

Hey guys.. this is my first post here. I have an 01 Soft Tail that I got from my fiance's parents. We are trying to sell it to pay for the upcoming wedding and I really dont know much about it. I have some specs about it but wanted to know if anyone could tell me what they think about the bike, what they see and how much i should look to get ! ?
I dont want to sell the bike and have been thinking about keeping it, although I would NEED a new paint job. I don't like the yellow/purple colors and wanted to know about how much to expect to pay for a new paint job if i were to keep it... might sway me to convince her !

My info is..
2001 Custom Soft Tail
Signature custom built by Ron Simm
89 cubic inch engine
8,500miles
Custom Horst paint with graphics
Daytes frame
Billet wheels
Danny Gray seat
hydraulic clutch
S&S caburetor
Hooker header

thanks a lot !!!!

You're gonna want to google Ron Simm's custom cycles and paint by Horst. These are famous guys and that is a high dollar bike.

I don't blame you for getting rid of it, that paint and all that shiny stuff on it, if you want it gone, I would give you 10,000 for it..hard to believe someone would do that to a motorcycle..

You would have quite an investment to repaint that bike. Hell, even the frame, oil tank, and other small parts would require disassembling. I would sell it to some show-off and get a bike that you really want.

I put it up locally for 15k and just dropped it to 13k after 2 weeks.
I am in central NC.. I am not sure if anyone is near me or would want more info but I would entertain offers if anyone has a serious interest.

I just forgot to add that there is a small dent in the side of the gas tank. Her dad took the pictures and when i posted it up I just forgot to say that. Obviously i dont have any pics, but it is pretty small. I will get a picture of the dent tomorrow.

Any help with identifying it would be great too
thanks

I can't... really... I mean.... YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAk damn....

Don't care for the paint scheme, the rest looks good.

Decode the VIN, The codes are in the Softail Owners Manual.

ok well lets take this another route for now.. say i keep it! How hard, what would it take, and how much am i looking at.. in order to transform the bike into something with new paint, a longer rake and wider rear tire such as the pics listed below from a brief look around the Photo Gallery here.

thank you!
