Howdy from the country of Qatar, I am curious on how well the factory security system works. I have a '09 Heritage on order and I'm kicking around the idea of having Lo Jack installed when I get home and take delivery, but is the factory security system good enough...or is it better safe than sorry...and how much $$$ is a Lo Jack installed? I understand that the security system does nothing against someone pulling up with a trailer and loading my baby up and taking off with her if I'm somewhere other than home (where she will be garaged and massaged with a soft cloth everyday). What does the factory system actually do besides disable ignition? Thanks a ton...and for the love of everything holy, please drink a beer for me.

DITO. and lojack now will try to call you to see if it is false alarm
I have neither, I really really don't want my pride and joy stolen but if it does get ripped off iam not sure i want it back either after someone has ran the hell out of it and prossibly trashed it. I know where to go get a new one and start over with my insuarance money. and like stated before its not going to stop the hard core thief and that guy by now knows how to dissarm most any security or tracking device and have your bike in pcs before you know what happened.
