Default Low Profile Tyres

I am looking at buying low profile tyres for my train, I currently have the 200 rear an 21" front. Has anyone got any ideas or pictures they could share with me and stories on the ride or comfort change??

Cheers

Not sure about the front tire, but your rear is currently a 200/55/17...Metzler makes the ME880 in a 210/50/17.

Putting a lower profile rear tire on the back of a 2007 or 2008 is a plus. It brings the 6 speed gearing into a more useful range. The 2009 models have resolved the 6 speed gearing problem, so by going to a lower profile tire it will throw the gearing off.

Thumbs up

I have a 2008 Train, I have done a couple post lately on this subject. I went to Radials, 200/50/17 on rear, MH90/21 on front. Going to the lower profile on rear givers the gearing a real nice change where 4th and 5th are just right now for scootin around 45-55 MPH and 6th is now much more useable from 60 MPH up. Personally I feel the Radials really handle much better that the Bias tires. I am hoping the wear is better than the Bias as I was this is my 3rd set of tires in 21000 miles since I bought it new in March 2008. Hopes this helps!!

low profiles will stiffen the ride up...but looks over comfort sometimes is a good sacrifice

Well I have the 2009 model, so if this is this case I don't think I will bother. Thank you to everyone for the feedback and advice.

I changed the rear to a Metzler 210 but went back to the Dunlop because of low mileage. I get 10,000 on rear Dunlop and 4700 on Metzler. I changed the front to a 120/70 low profile and it handles much better and in fact I can turn effortless. I even scraped the floor board for the first time in 30,000 miles.
