Looking to fab a custom shifter
Dropping by from the Dyna side of the house. I'm going to fab a custom shift lever for my Wide, along the lines of a Toe-Toe setup instead of heel-toe. My stock shift-shaft only has splines enough for one lever, so I'm looking for a shift arm/shaft (with heel-toe length splines) that I can cut off and transplant onto my Dyna shift arm (by welding & subsequent rechrome). I've heard some ST owners go the opposite direction, changing from heel-toe to single lever. Would anyone have a spare long shaft shift-arm they'd make me a deal on for my project? If so, please PM me. Could you provide the $haft diameter, length of $plines, and total length of the $haft so I can confirm it's $uitable for my needs. Thanks
From your sig pic it looks like you already have forwards? If so, you should be able to find a replacement inner shift arm from the Drag Specialties catalog. Here's what I did to add heel-toe to my Night Train forwards:
I used Drag Specialties p/n DS530610 - it is spec'd for 90-06 FLST only, but it fit my '08 FXSTB just fine (identical spline shaft... just longer). I didn't even have to adjust the shift rod.

Thanks for the lead, Lucky. That may be just the part I need, and may save me the cutting, welding and re-chroming I'd figured was a 'given'. I'll look into it before I start Frankenstein-ing my own design.
