What is involved with installing saddlebag crash, roll bars?
2005 FLSTC Heritage Classic (stock saddlebag equipped)
Like the idea of installing the rear roll bars. How do these attach and what if anything tricky is entailed with their installation? If I get a response, where is the best place to buy them, HD dealer or aftermarket? Thanks. Brad
Not that big a deal to put on. Some basic tools including a torx bit (forgot what size). You'll probably need to get a rear bracket relocation kit unless you already have rear floorboards in which case you already it.
You can get about 20% off if you order online. I use http://www.zanottimotor.com/ but there are others.
Shipping cost will offset some of the savings so you may be better off just getting it from your dealer.
Just put some on my NT for my traveling setup...
Same ones as the Heritage's... bottom fits at the
rear foot peg/floorboard. I powdered coated mine
black for obvious reasons...
