Had a Suzuki RM 400 dirt bike that never ran right. I'd say that one. Had a Kaw 750 H2, Kaw 900, ltd Honda 550, suzuki 125 dirt bike, and 3 Harleys all of which were/are good bikes.
Have to say after owning 67 bikes the worst Ive had was a brand new 883 anniversay. Think I was taken in by the Harley name at the time.Sold it after 800 miles and went back to Triumphs for a few years before getting the Softail
1982 Kawasaki KZ 1000 LTD.
It was a lemon from the get-go. It came in the crate with a flat tire. I should have seen it coming.
Although it had a flat which from the result of a pin hole in the wheel, leaky fork seals, longer than normal clutch rod which burned up the clutch twice, and a weak pressed crank that twisted.. All of this in 3k miles, it was probably my favorite bike. I ran smooth bores with a 4 into 1 Kerker... What an unbelieveable sound.
Go figure...
two harleys and 4 rockets later cant say iv had a bad scooter....now on the other hand I had a bmx Huffy back in early 80's dam thing was always throwing the chain off the sprocket fixed that with dads hammer
Hadda 77 FLH (AMF) That was pretty poorly built..I had just sold a Super glide to buy this garage queen, only had 800 or so miles onnit in when I bought it in 79.. Im on my way back from Sturgus that same year, It tossed a wrist pin thru the front jug right outside Chamberlin SD..Got ta spend the night at the wayside that overlooks the river there till a brother drove a van 11 hours ta pick me up.. When I got it apart I found that the front Piston didn't even have a grove machined in it to hold the wrist pin keeper ring.. so the factory probibly didn't even install a keeper on that side..Had it fer another year of nothin but troubles and breakdowns.. Till somebody stole it late one fall when I was at the Hospital see'n a brother who had gone down. Didn't miss the bike a bit.. But had dropped the insurace to liability for the winter as I didnt expect a few warm days in late November..
My CB350 when I was in high school, always breaking down but I loved that bike, just saw the exact same year and color on ebay, would buy it if I had the room and a different wife, just kidding.
