Witch way is the best for running wire for side lic plate light on my rocker. i have it pulled back to the beginning of fender hole. really don't want to see it or get caught up in belt.

 

ran mine from the left side under the seat down the swing arm to the side mount...

I did the same thing, using black shrink tube and black zipties along the way. You can't even tell it's there, but it helps I have a black bike!
