Does anyone use Running Board extenders?

I have a Heritage that I installed V&H Big shot longs on . The right running board is pretty close to pipe which isnt really an issue except I must be careful with my foot not hitting pipes and scratching them.

Little fearful that this product would put my running boards out to far increasing scraping

 

I saw those and wanted to install them on my Heritage. Then I noticed that it says "fits FLT (Road Kings and Dressers)".

I'm not 100% sure they will or will not work on the Heritage...

 

I wonder how much another 1/2" affects lean angles...
