can we resurrect this post? Any more FatBoy's with drag bars that have made the switch from stock bars? I'm having a helluva time trying to find the right bar for my long arms and tall upper torso. I would like to have a little lean forward as opposed to a little leaning back. Not a fan of the drag bars with tall rise.
I put same year Heritage bars on my '06 Fatboy. It stood me up and back in the seat a bit so I didn't feel like a "clam" leaning down to get the grips. There were 3 or 4 Softail bars that were listed as factory for the Fatboy so I was able to use the original cables.
Thanks WAhog, but that's way to much rise for my liking. The search continues....it's like finding a needle in a haystack.
Interesting you say that, I was against the 8" rise, wanted a 6" but the feel was great, a fraction of lean in, but not so it's uncomfortable. Aesthetically I don't like the rise but the bag on the bars reduces the impact of that and looks right. Each to his own!
The bike was knocked over by some idiot and one of the things apart from the new paint job will be new bars, and I'm getting 8" again but this time they will 1.75" thick - really beefy to match the front end.
