Apes v. Drag
Hey there fellow enthusiasts:
I like the look of drag bars and also ape hangers. From an aesthetic point-of-view, I totally see the benefits of each. All of my riding experience is hunched over a gas tank, looking like a monkey f#cking a football, so let me just ask some questions here... Is there a huge difference in how the bike steers from one (handle) bar to the next? How about fatigue over many miles? Which generally are most comfortable? What's a long day riding for apes? Drags?
I understand that choices will always vary from one rider to the next. I'm wondering how each of you settled on the choices you made. Did you have any opportunities to ride with alternate styles before you committed to the money and the time to change?
I like Apes, but did before they were popular. Now everyone has them. One advantage to drag bars is that it doesn't draw attention from the Police, mainly at bike rallies. Apes are so popular now, they usually go unnoticed by the Police.
ive done the apes for years thats what my father had and still has so eh i had drag bars on my old sporty but then put apes on i was always leaning forward on my wrists, don't like that feel too much.
