I have the same front end but I ordered the 0 rake and standard softail length for my 87 FXLR. The forks are about 1 3/4" longer than the stock forks but I am going to run a 16 inch wheel instead of the stock 21 so it should be okay, and make the bike sit more level than the old style bikes used to. I did have to cut the pivot bolt down 3/8" because the Softails used fork cups (7 3/8" measurement) and my bearings are mounted in the steering head so it was only 7".
I purchased the front end from Jerih(sp?) Cycles for 485.00 and free shipping. Beautiful front end, massive with really nice chrome and it uses stock HD internals. Good luck with your project.
I already contacted Joe via PM and he gave me all info, thanks a lot Joe btw your box is full..... But the point is that this front end on picture is different - much more wider and the difference seems to me huge. I realy love it except the price.....
I found Ton Pels signature Fat Bubba forks for about 1,3K. Currently cheapest fork with fat and clean look i was able to find. Picture attached. If aynyone know other option, would be great.
Just refresh if anyone know about fat wide clean front end for price under 1K. I am searching but still can not find cheaper than the Fat Bubba. BTW i need black one....
i found this Big-Un front end for price under 1,3K. Any experience?
Also found price 1060 usd for this front end on web, sounds good. Price on that link below is expansive but there is good desctiption.
Inverted front forks are to reduce unsprung weight and improve handling accordingly. There is no advantage on a Harley Softail. Unless you just want something different. Seems like alot for little to me....... My $.02
