Question FXSTS riser stud adapters

Has anyone here tried the Drag Specialties Springer Riser Studs, or similar adapters. I'd really like to hear your opinion on them if you have.

Do they effectively solid mount the riser, or do you still need to use bushings ?

I'm getting ready to put a 16" bar on my '05, and I'd like to solid mount the risers, and if possible, use a standard riser.
(more options / better pricing)

Thanx

I've got a knock off set of RSD style vintage bars. I have the stock risers on my bike right now, but I'm wanting to go with a set of 4" billet risers.

I just bit the bullet and bought the Chubby's Springer pullback risers...They look GOOD, but they ought to for the price!

If the link you provided is directing to the right product....these are the same studs you already have on your springer. If you take the risers apart that you have now (stock springer) you'll see this is the inner stud that mounts to the upper tree. It does mount solid to the tree, then the outer sleeve is isolated by two rubber star shaped bushings and held down by a lock nut. Then the bars are mounted to the outer sleeve by the riser caps. The isolation/movement is the riser assembly moving on the studs themselves.

Yeah I realized that today at work when I was lookin' at them again. I found a solid mount kit today in V-Twin, and some fairly cheap 4" riser on ebay that I think will do the trick nicely.

The ad says the thread is different on the top of those studs, but they mount the exact same way, so I don't see how that would help me out at all.

Now it's just a matter of figuring the best way to mount my no knurl apes in a way that they won't slip too much. I think I have that figured out too actually, but I'm still mullin' it over.

Thanx
