Have an '07 Heritage. When I turn to the right the bike throttles up. I traced this back to the throttle cable, but I can't see were the fix would be. Does anyone have experience with this? It seems the RPMs go up only when I wiggle the cable under the tank. Wiggling it at the handlebars doesn't effect it. Is this an easy fix or should I take advantage of the warranty and let Harley take care of it? UR $.02 PLEEZE
Mine does this, but only when I use the throttle lock as the bike's warming up (mine's carb'd). With the throttle lock off, it doesn't do this. It could be possible that the cable itself is catching on something, possibly inside the controls or near the throttle body?

Thanks......again
Take it to HD....thats waaaay too dangerous......did you change your bars out and the cables are tight or is it stock?..if its stock let the warrenty take care of it then it will be on record so if it happens again its on them
Throttle cable adjustment - your cable is too tight. It is in the manual. Easy fix... Try google it and it may come up in a clymers book if you do not have the manual. Or, if it is under warranty, take it in...
