I'm trying to see what everyone thinks about buying chrome wheels on ebay.Does anyone have any experiences?I have seen some of the prices and it looks like someone can get a really good deal on some wheels.Would appreciate peoples thoughts.thanks
I've used these guys on EBay , they do a first class job and have a 3 year warranty - something unheard of with plating shops . Also return calls and e-mails very quickly and also quick to ship ! All my correspondence was answered by Pat Curran , the GM . I bought a Deuce chrome rim/ tire ( stock HD Tire )/ bearing package that cost about the same price as a new tire/ bearings would have installed on my old rim . They ship with a small deposit so no down time , for me a big plus ! On EBay they go by USA Chrome although I believe the bussiness name is American Revolution Inc .
Don't do it. Thats what makes a fatboy a fatboy. Actually, do you want to sell you r rims? Let me know, I am always looking for a second set of wheels.
I've dealt with Pat Curran numerous times. He is a stand up guy and his plating is second to none. His company is called America In Motion (866)578-9304. Give him a call and if he doesn't have a set for an outright, PM me I have an extra set.
Pat is awsome to say the least. I bought a set of wheels off E-Bay and am having Pat and his boys "Black Chrome" them for me. I have bought Chrome Pully ( stight buy pay core deposit and dont send they are ok with that), and Polished Break Rotors. I cant wait they have good service and fair pricies and a great warrenty, just my .02 yen worth
Buy a set of used Fat Boy rims off ebay. They're a dime a dozen. Then send them in for plating or exchange. My old ones are sitting overhead in the garage, but I'm keeping them around for emergency use if needed.
I quess i was misunderstood.I dont want solids.I am looking to get some chrome custom wheels.
Hey I checked out that companies ebay listings.. Check out what they did to these fatboy wheels... This might not interest you but I thought they were pretty cool.. They still keep some of the fatty wheel character but I'll bet are easier with the cross winds.. and gorgeous chrome! Very different.. I likey likey!
