Lowered front
Hey all, Finally got to take some pics after lowering my front. I used Progressive Drop In Spring Kit, I got almost 2 1/4" lowering by cutting the PCV spacer to their minimum allowed in instructions. Took less than 1 hour counting a couple beers.
I did the same recently on my FB. Ride certainly is a bit stiffer. I went with the middle ground of 3" PVC but I'm going to have 1/2" taken off when the new wheels come in.
Let me know what you think of the ride. I have to watch out for the bumps. The forks don't bottom (or top) out but the bumps definitely transfer to the spine.

The ride is a bit stiffer, it is easier to throw into a corner now, I ordered a fork brace today hoping to totally get rid of the flex in the front of these bikes. But overall it made a better handling bike IMHO. The Train is all I own, I ride at least 120 miles a day to and from work so i got about 500 miles on the lowered front with no probs yet.
yea, i have the same kit. i cut 1/2" from spacer. mine doesnt bottom out yet. i rode all day today. better controle. im going to change out the fork oil to belray 15w. just for sh.. and giggles.

+1 ? I lowered the rear of mine a coulpe of inches, and would not even consider lowering the front. Maybe someone will explain. My bike handles very good lowered in the rear.
right.... if you lower the front only your throwing off your trail.....you will get the wobble in the handelbars......i lowered the rear 2 and the front 1 on mine and it handles like its on rails
