Finally got the Road King Classic I traded my beloved red Heritage for out of the shop.
Some of you remember the Heritage I used to own and I missed the red paint. While the RKC I traded for was getting the hideous blue paint turned to Crimson Red Sunglow, I mounted 80 spoke wheel, two piece rotors and had the dealer put in a 95" Big Bore kit, high compression heads and a Andrews 37G cam set,
Dyno'd at 93HP and 104 lbs of torque. It's like having a newer, faster bike.
Anyway, just wanted to brag a bit for my old Softy friends.
Marsh
Dustmaker, this seat will stay black, UNLESS, I put hard bags with the same paint. I could never find any bags to match the tan seat on my Heritage, but you got me thinking. Next add on will be a tach.
"how do U think it rides compared to your softy."-it rides considerably better, especially with two up, although I had no complaints with my softy. In truth the feel took some getting used to because I sit higher on it, but believe it or not, I think it handles better than my Heritage. That surprised me. Now after riding it for a couple of weeks it feels entirely natural. However I didn't get it for it's ride or handling; I got it because I like the looks better than any other Harley. I think it's that big beautiful headlight and the duel exhaust.
