Cleaning melted boot off the pipes?

What do you guys use to get any melted boot particles off the pipes? Apparently I got too close to the pipes last week and now I'm having a really hard time getting some of the rubber off the pipes. What do you recommend that won't scratch the chrome?

With pipes just a little WARM, try Easy-Off oven cleaner, or Nevr-Dull or Autosol. These will all work, the latter 2 both worked for me. Never tried the easy-off, but a lot of guys here swear by it. GOOD LUCK

easy off 7 heat gun so you can control the heat. be careful not to heat the frame paint or wires etc...

I use Mequires cleaner wax, works on pipes, bugs, and windshield

I have been using it for over 32 years. also takes out scratches on your car and paint from door dings
