Wife finally went from her 07 sporty to a 09 Heritage Softail...I have a question on these huge wide whitewalls..I know westleys's white wall bleach is good on my trucks lettering but will this stuff harm the chrome wheels??
Ok wife's Heritage has the wide white walls and this is what she does. She uses the Mr Clean pads plus squirts the Westley's on it. She is pretty meticulous about not getting anything on the chrome spokes. She's got it down pat on the white walls, now her beotch is the chrome spokes, she hates cleaning them, but always does a good job. She gets lots of compliments on her bike. Oh yeah a good jack helps. If your wife is like mine and mine coming from a sporty she is going to love the Heritage. That is my wife's only regret in riding is that she didn't buy the Heritage right off.
I just did a "search" and came back...dua on my part. I don't mind cleaning because she won't for sure. so gonna borrow her tooth brush when there ready to be cleaned. thanks. and by the by she said yesterday bringing it home from the dealer was like going from a pinto to a cadi...she's one happy camper..
I have used WWW on tires for over 40 yrs and got it from my dad who used it before me, not only is it the best I ve ever used on WW 's, its great on tires period, including the bike.
When younger I had WW's on everything then got to hating them and turned all them to the inside when I started buying mag wheels. I never had any problem with it hurting the chrome wheels
I believe If you read the back it says not to use on Aluminum wheels, so if you have
anything Aluminum, dont spray it on that.
I usually clean them at the end of the garage to keep wind from blowing the spray around also.
As any product one should read the directions on the back, I would not spray it on then leave it on for a long time as any cleaner will tell you that.
I raise the bike on the jack, makes it easier to spin the tire and spray it at the bottom of the rim only, dont spray it with the tire on the ground and make circles around it.
Just spray one at a time trying to get most of it on the tires, then get a tire brush, wet it and start washing the tire right away, then spray it off with the hose.
You don"t have to worry about tires sliding afterwards because there is no silicones in it to make it shine.
It just makes the rubber look like brand new, and I only need to use it a coulpe times yr... I use nothing else its.the best in my opinion..
