Sounds like your getting a hard time my friend from the guys (and me !!!)Im sure we would all like to buy surprise gifts like a new fatty!!
But I would take it back to the dealer tell him about your impending divorce! leave the bike with him and see if he can sell it retail over the next few weeks then they may be a little more generous with the price of a new bike.... but as we have all said maybe its just the size from a sportser to a softail so get her to demo a heritage/deluxe as she will not notice much change...
Keep the wife and live happy ever after
!!!!!!
I have an 09 Heritage but would be just as happy with a Fatboy. You can buy a lot of leather and chrome bling and have a personalized bike for what you would loose. Maybe look at a softer passenger seat and a bigger back rest. Besides the Fatboy wheels are a lot easier to clean than the spokes on the Heritage. Good luck.
Hmm, maybe I'm wrong but I though they WERE the exact same bike (not counting fenders) but with different accessories? Was I mistaken here?
All you need is sissy, pillion, backrest, bags, and windsheild and you have yourself a heritage.
nope - different seat height, handlebars, seat, a much larger rear tire and a different feel. HOWEVER, with new fenders, lowering, changing bars and adding those dreaded bags - it'll look kinda like a heritage.
