Can you remove the baffles easily on the screamin eagle pipes? There are two bolts on each pipe that seems to hold in the baffles, but when I took the bolts out and tried to get them out they would not budge.
Are these pipes designed for the baffles to just pull out? If yes, maybe I just need to use a slide hammer.
My .02... leave them in and just drill a one in. hole in them they will sound great, also they will keep some backpressure in, and you wont get a bad decel pop..also keep the LE off you !!!
Thanks for the replies. I have already pushed the diffuser (?) back about 1/2 way from where it was stock versus fully open. I am not a fan of the look of SEs (on a heritage), but I don't know if I want to buy new pipes just yet.
I think I will push it the rest of the way in to make the pipe a straight through pipe with the baffles in. I know on dirt bikes that is all the mufflers really are and they are definitely quieter than a straight pipe. If the sound is still not enough, I will pull them out with a slide hammer.
