I'm close to pulling the trigger on the XBones but I noticed when I sit on it and try to retract the kick stand that I have a difficult time reaching it underneath the floorboard. Has anyone else noticed this and what did you do to fix it?
I don't think its so much a Softail, or an HD thing. It's a floorboard thing. My bike with pegs, I catch the stand with my heel to retract it. My bike with boards, I catch it with my toe. Its a natural movement now, I didn't even think about the difference till I read your post.
The kickstand extenders seem to work well for those that have them. With the grin you'll have on that new bones, you'll be able to reach down there with your teeth and get it in...
The easiest way I have found to deal with it is rotate the floor board out of the way before you put the stand down, and push the board down with your foot after you bring ithe stand up.
