I have the Heritage bars on my springer. They feel ok. But i might go a little higher. Maybe to a 12.5

Those are the 9.5" Springer Apes from Wild1. For comparison purposes, the second set is probably comparable to about a 12" bar (15" measured, but eliminated the risers). Here is a picture of the fit (I am right at 6' tall).

Sweet... Thanks Bluzmn59. They look taller for some reason then mine. I like the 15" but my question is how does it feel with no risers?

One of the problems with apes is flex - I recommend that you switch to a poly bushing kit. The custom apes were just real solid with no flex because they were bolted directly. There may have been some more vibration, but it didn't bother me.

BTW, here is a link for the bushing kit through Drag Specialties. As you are aware by now, everything is different for a Springer. If you call Hale's H-D, you can get it for 20% less.

I ended up with a more old-school look that is way more comfortable for me.

Here is a picture of each for you:

That bike looks good with every bar shown. I lean more to the narrow beach style. Though with a sprung seat. I sit high enough that the 12 inch mini-apes don't feel like apes at all on the Xbones. I have a set of the narrow beach bars. I'll just have to see how everything goes together in the rebuild befor I change them. I can get by for w few days without changing the cables to at least try them. But I have the correct cables if I do decide to make the change perminate.

I would only go with 1 inch bars. Most of the manufacturers of 1 1/4 bars made the center too wide, they go way past the forks. Khromwerks, flanders or Nash Gimp hangers are perfect on a springer.
