1993 - "Cow Glide"
That is the bike that I had always wanted. My best friend's dad owned one and I remember when he brought it home for the first time. That was the bike that turned me onto Harley's. (BTW it's called a Moo-Glide)
If you don't buy it I will!

I bought one of these new. I didn't keep it long as it was my only bike and I felt guilty riding it (like it should be a museum piece or something). I wanted to ride, got a great offer, sold it and moved on to a Heritage. The one thing I remember most about it was the Cow Hide seat wore extremely fast. I've had some fun riding Harleys!
Talk about old thread revival!!

Looking for some knowledge/help:
My neighbor owns a 1993 Heritage Softail Nostalgic #2566 of 2700. The bike was called the "Cow Glide" due to the cow hide seats/trim. The bike is bone stock with 2000 miles on it. She is asking $9500 for it...what do you think? Below is a link to the same type of bike with +13K miles on it going for almost $14k...

My dealer has one and is asking 9500 and has had it on the floor for almost a year. I don't think the resale value is there on the moo glide as collectors are spending or saving money elsewhere
Here's my 2-cents.
An original 93 FLSTN Nostalgia, with all the stock parts, AND 2,000 miles is a rare bike.
BUT in today's market that unfortunately does not translate into dollars for the seller. I agree it is not really an 'investment' if you are looking to buy it for that purpose. BUT IT IS a good (or even great) deal if you are looking to ride it and if you enjoy all the attention you will get.
For reference...I have owned a 94 Nostalgia (bought it new after trying and failing to get the original Moo-Glide), I currently own a 96 Nostalgia, and I also owned a 96 Badboy (another unique, low production 90's Evo).
Take Note: the 94 Nostalgia sold for a BIG profit in 1998 (can't do that today!)
the Badboy sold for a LITTLE profit in 2007.
the 96 Nostalgia I can't find a buyer for at any price, ha ha. My how times have changed
Yes...like some have said, 90's era Evos can be found for $7,500 and up these days, BUT a low mileage, STOCK, 93 Nostalgia SHOULD REALLY command more than that! $9,500 sounds like a very good deal to me and I have experience with owning these bikes.
I have seen a few 93's like your neighbor's for sale for just a bit less (like down to $8,800) but that is the exception...most owners still want $11,000-$13,000 for the original, first-year, and numbered bikes (the next 3 yrs did not get numbered).
STILL...your best bet is to get it from her for her asking price (or a little below), then KEEP IT STOCK, and ride it and enjoy it! Really, in the years to come if it has less than 10,000 miles or so it should be worth what you paid for it or slightly more...and if you ride it more then you'll enjoy it more - that's worth money too!
Good luck.
