you should be fine with an HD setup, you might need a relocation kit for your lights.
the HD kit is easy to mount yourself as well

Now that to me looks sweet. Also looks easy to take off and on.

I just don't like the look of the Harley detachables and all the accompanying hardware but then again...that's just me.

Anything you can tell us about support and how the passengers like it?

it is nice and when i take a solo road trip i put my ralley pack on top of the brace and use it as a backrest

I have the HD removable one and I love it. Hard to cough up that kind of money for something only used once in a while but all in all, I'm glad I spent the money on it.

I picked one up at the local HD dealer, it was a take off so I got a sweet deal. The only thing is that I am not shure about the width of it. The side plates will fit just fine, so after I get the docking kit in I will messure and see if what i have will work or if I will need to get another one.
