i agree with the replacement of the tire. you only get one life. as far as the brand i guess it all depends on what kind of riding you do, do you carry a passanger and how long do you want it to last and so on.
i went to wal-mart and got the radial roap plug and rode another 7000 miles and no problem. mine was off center and would not be rode on unless i was in a turn and i have plugged tubless tires for 25 years on the back tire.
I would replace. You can plug and run it till it's worn out or and depends on the cord damage from installing the plug could fail and blow out or just cord seperation. I won't take the chance. State Police cars in this state don't ride on plugged tires, a nnew tire is always cheaper than the hospital bill
I've never had a problem with plugged tires,just buy a quality plug and you SHOULD be fine lol,just leave about a 1/4inch of the plug on the tire so you can get a good seal,but just because I was fine does not mean you will be,so if you don't feel comfortable replace it
