Default forward controls on Crossbones

I have been bouncing the idea around of installing forward controls on my 08 Crossbones. I gave J&P a call and they could not give me a part number for a set that would fit. Has anybody installed a set on their Bones? If so which ones and what hardware did you have to get. Thanks

your better off calling/going into an HD dealership.. but my 2 cents I saw an 08 xb with the forward controls at an HD dealership and it just does not look right on the bike

I put the Harley FL conversion kit on mine HD Part Number 33909-08. Worked out great. I realy prefer pegs over floor boards.

I would like to what one would look like that installed. I like the stock set up on our bikes but am locking to change things up myself on my bike as well.

Thanks for the part number. You got any picks bro? I haven't seen one out here with them yet. I think it would look killer but i want to make sure. Which set of controls did you go with?

I'm ordering some highway pegs that mount to the frame. Not quite the same but I like the floorboards, just want to stretch out no and then.

Travis,

I put the HD 33909-08 on my bones. More footclearance, clean look, less hardware overall, easy to install, perfect fit, excellent ryding postion, all hardware included besides left and right footpeg and brake pad (shift peg included). I ordered and installed extra also 34016-08 shift lever, 41805-08 brake lever, 41850-08 brake padel and a set of cushioned footpeg 49110-98.
You need some good tools to remove these torxbolts, they are firmly fitted, something to drain the dot4 and somebody to help to get the spring of the stand back in its position.

Scooter,

The hardware attached to the frame are in black, the shift-lever and brake lever which are included in the price of the 33909-08 set are chrome. The parts specially ordered brake and shift-lever are black. The shifter shaft stays chrome.
