Thumbs down WTF Crossbones + PSGR boards = NO?

I got a set of the half-moon psgr boards for my XB but the dealer was "Out of Stock" of the hinge mounts... OK, I waited.

Yesterday, they said the mounts were in. I went to get them and was told that they wont work because of the upper pipe (stock) being in the way.

Is this true? How do you go about setting up a psgr?
Do I seriously have to change out my pipes (right now) just to set up a Queen?

Anyone....

I was told that I would have to wait to put my psgr boards on until I got my new exhaust. However, he made it seem that it was because of the mounts we chose, not because it wasn't possible with stock exhaust.

Xuallus, OK but even your pipes are changed... did you have those pegs on, able to flip up, with the stock pipes?

Ya you can flip the pegs up. Of course, I have the stock pegs with the stock exhaust, but any peg should be just fine.

That sucks you wasted some cash. I hate when that happens.

I have pegs with the RSD peg lifter kit. My son only rides with so it works great. My bike came with the stock pegs and they do flip up in stock form.

yeah, they mount to the muffler mount with the stock pipes, and the peg mounting kit comes with a bracket that lowers the left side to the same level. Since I changed the pipes (which removes the old muffler mount) I just took the bracket out of the equation and used the same hole on both sides.

T,

Your dealer doesnt know what they are talking about becuase Ive installed passenger floorboards on my bones with stock exhust. use part #50400-07a for the support kit. I used for the half moon pass boards #50810-08 the ones that match the front boards.

Well, that certainly tells me what I WANTED to hear. I'll check for the PN and let you know where this goes.
Thx
