I would really appreciate it if you could respond so I can get a percentage idea of Yea and Ney.
This is Doug again with Rock Hard DesignZ, Inc. I am designing a passenger boot guard for V&H short shots, long shots, twin radiuses and the big radius on softails. I have seen that even though some have made this extra investment on pipes, some are still getting the passenger's boots all over them. I had not planned on finishing these models of Rock Hard Boot Guards until next summer, however I am starting to get requests. My problem is without support from the banks (which as you know could care less about a start-up company)I would need a quick payback on investing 15K in tooling, chroming racks and engineering drawings to get the products into production.
I really need to get an accurate feel as to a percentage of people that would want them for their bikes. The retail price would be about 115.00. They are made in USA so my production cost is quite high.
As seen in the included photos, these guard would be designed to fit exactly to the pipe.
I'm on my third set of Vance and Hines pipes on my third Harley and while your idea and concept is good, I've never had a problem getting marks off of them. Good luck though!
Not sure they would be all that necessary for the Big Radius pipes I have. But if the wife is as bad with them as she was with the stockers I would first try to make something like that to keep her toes away from them.
Hey they look nice..I have had my GL TOE mine a time or two tiny little marks, must of been rocks in her boots...but I have a mark or two around the whole bike,18k miles..doesnt hurt to try, others have made it rich with less of a good idea
Nice concept but it is a Nay. She has her own bike now, so I converted to solo only. Now if you designed and built some sort of universal clip thing that mounts where the stock rocker seat mounted to the frame and has all kinds of attachments (luggage rack, quick connect bags, backrest, etc...), I'd be all over that.

hdtaggs:
looks like its 0-9, seems like u found out what is wrong with our country,if it cost more because its USA, that don't mean what it used too. 1st don't say it will cost more because its made in the USA and 2nd everybody is looking for a bargin, so learn from this and do a little PR with your advertisement so yr product will seem better.
Also does it have any warranty with it?
