Well, I am looking to buy new RSD risers for my x-bones but not sure how tal I can go from stock with the orginal lines on it. I was thinking like 4 or 5 inch risers. Does anyone know how big the stock ones are and how much higher I can go? I would like to order the parts today.
I'm running the stock risers with RSD Vintage bars... I could go a little taller with the control cables.... but I would have to extend the wires... IMO I'm at the limit...
So get what size of vintage bars from RSD? I want the set up taller. I am 6' tall and the bars are lower than my sholders even with the lower seat and 2 inch springs.
Elvis. The Bones has 3" risers stock. Assuming your bike is identical to mine, you won't be able to put anything taller than 3" without having to extend the throttle and front brake line. I ran into that problem a few months back when I purchased the "six gun" risers from Choppers Inc. They only come in 4" rise, so I was just gonna raise it an inch. I could see it wasn't gonna work. Ended up meeting up with a guy from Alloy Arts who make the good-n-tight. He told me on the phone that it should work no problem only raising it an inch. He was in my area, so met up so he could take a look, and after he saw it in person, he said no way. So, I'm looking to have mine machined down an inch to stock. I hope I'm wrong. But, extending the lines for the height you want would be well worth it.. Good luck.

RSD's are listed as a 12" rise... they did not move my hands up that much... But I do have a more neutral grip...
I'm 6'3"... i solved my reach issue by tilting the bars forward.... I'm am trying to devise a way of raising the seat up and inch or two...give me a little more leg room....
extended cables... you might want to try LaBriola Machine (Google him)... he is in Denver does jockey shifters / suicide clutches... also Barnett cables... he is working with me on a project... good guy....
