deluxe seats

anyone know if a 01 softail springer seat w/rail will fit an 09 deluxe talked to a couple of dealers of course 1 said it will work the other said no

I know that it will fit an 08, so if the seats weren't changed, it will work on an 09. A little over a year ago you could buy them new from HD. Now obsolete.

I re-read your post and you are talking the whole seat not just the seat rail. The frames changed in 2000, so seat should fit if it is post 2000.

The 2000 Heritage Springer, although having the new frame and a twincam engine still had fringe. The fringe on the seat and bags went away for the last 3 years of production - 2001,02, and 03.
