What is the difference between the SE 50 state legal 80495-07 and the 49 State legal 80378-00 Slip Ons?
When I first purchased my 09 Heritage in Sept. I had SE slip ons installed and after a while thought they were to quiet. I went with Rush and now I don't like the metallic sound.
Soooo.... Today I went and purchased new SE slip ons again (sold the other ones) and I swear these are louder and deeper than the first set I had. This set (80495-07) that I installed today sound awesome, just right for me.
I am not sure what the model # was on the first set as I am still looking for the receipt so thus my question what is the difference between the two.
Just a thought not to derail your original question: Rush offers different baffle sizes. Perhaps if you went with a different baffle, it might take away some of the metallic sound that you're not so crazy about.
