Not that there's anything wrong with a Sporty, but that's one hell of a nice step 'up'.
Just don't try to lay it over as far as you could with the Sporty.
The floorboards don't like it much.

Enjoy the smooth ride.
you got it! there is definitely nothing wrong with the Sportster. I liked it so much, I put over 30k kms on in 2 summers.
That being said, I think the Heritage is still a 'step up' in both comfort and style.

thanks...It happened already...really surprised me!
you hear "old school" or "nostalgic" and the Heritage Classic is always one of the very first images that come to mind. This bike will always have a very special place in my heart...my first ever HD was a Victory Red Sunglo '95 FLSTC. My head snaps to look at one every time.
Most excellent choice, man.......lots of good times waiting

Bet that made you sit up straighter.
It can be a bit scary the first couple of times it happens, but in time you'll get to know that its just just the bike letting you know it ain't no crotch rocket.
Chips I'm with You on that one. I went from an 07 883C Sportster to an 09 Heritage in February. I got the Sportster new in 07 and thats the bike I learned to ride on.
What impresses me beyond the smooth ride, is the turning. The Sportster kind of "fell" into the corners and curves, with the Heritage its like "I think I'll go left" and the bike says "Ok". LOL just so easy to handle.
