My GF says the pad on my X-bones is too hard. Anyone have their pad modified? I'm thinking maybe a gel pad insert but I don't want to try doing it myself. Suggestions?
There's alot of places that will re-do your seat for a price. I personally felt the price was a little high. You could buy a gel seat for what they want to re-do yours. I took the covering off my pillion, cut an inch off the top and stuffed it with some foam I bought from Wal-Mart and cut to shape. It's not gel but it works for now.
You could always swap it out for something else. Lots of passenger seats out there.
But here's a little advice, I've been looking for the perfect seat that will keep my wife quiet, and I haven't found it yet
I started a thread identical to this a couple months ago. Someone told me about Mean City Cycles. I guess they will take your old seat and add memory foam or gel. I just didn't want to wait for it. Try looking them up. I think it's www.meancitycycles.com not positive though.
