Fast idle 07 Deluxe
Anyone experience a fast idle problem on their 07? During a ride as I pull to a stop I will have an idle speed I would approximate at double the factory setting. If I cycle the ignition switch a couple of times it will reset to normal idle speed. Any clues on where to start....I know, I know, the dealer.

possibly the IAC (idle air control valve) isn't working correctly...although the ECM takes care of controlling it..... I would think it's gonna take hooking up to the diagnostic port to see what's going on...unfortunately by the dealer or indy.... I just replaced my stock ECM with a Thundermax.....so no more dealer for me....I like being able to see what the bike is doing, just by hooking up my laptop, plus a good learning experience...

Good luck...Let us know what the deal is once you get it figured out.
I have had a similar experience on my 08 fatboy, but I have found it only happens when I start the bike and take off without giving it a minute to run or so. But the idle also comes down on it own after 5-10 seconds at the stop.

Well I think I found it. I had installed a couple of years ago a Terry's ECM piggyback system. As I traced down the wiring I found a bad wire to the rear 02 sensor. It actually separated when I was tracing the wire down. I decided to pull the entire piggy back system and run the stock ECM. Works like a charm. I'll take a longer run later in the week and see if I am still proud of myself.
