Are Screaming Eagle slip-ons worth doing? I wanted V&H straightshots but $1500.00 is way too much and that is the bottom line just cant do it. I am just looking for a little more noise and power nothing else, will I be wasting my money on slip-ons? Two co-workers have slip-ons and they are satisfied but I need some input from others before I decide, and do I need a Race Tuner with slip-ons or is the EFI download acceptable, I am aware I will need the Stage-1 kit as well, one other thing I am concerned about excess noise how do straight shots and slip-ons compare noisewise?
Thanks to all
I've got the SE slip-on's. Not as deep as I would like, but a hell of alot better than stock. I'm fixing to go straight drags though. At the time, slip-on's were all I could afford. I did the stage 1, and efi download at the same time I got my slip-on's. They are loud, but not as throaty and ballsy as drag pipes or the straight shots. If you want earth-shaking,..don't bother with slip-ons, go ahead with the pipes. If you want a decent sound for cheap,..get the slip-ons.
I've got 'em and I love them. They are just right for me and my neighbors. Nice sound and just loud enough. But.....different strokes for different folks. Eh?

Hey I dont know about $1500.00 but V&H straightshots run under $400.00. Which in my opinion the V&H's are worth the money. You will need the stage 1 kit and the down load which runs $290. You will notice a difference. I have the V&H big shots staggered and my dad has the V&H big shots longs, they both have great sound and performance. My dad had the slip-on's and changed after hearing my V&H. just my two cents.
I started with the SE slip-onâs and yes they are better then the stock mufflerâs but they are still pretty quite. I just put on a set of V&H Fishtail II slip-onâs and I like them a whole lot better and I donât think that they cost that much more then the slip-onâs.
