Citorisplus, I appreciate that info. I do have access, through a friend, to some sheet metal tools. I do remember seeing mudpuddle's bracket but I don't remember if he had a description on how he made it. I'll double-check.
It's very frustrating that all the brackets I've found for custom applications are either softails or older dynas.
I don't mind making what I need but with a VERY limited workspace (ok, no workspace except the yard and fireants) it drives me nuts.
The bracket in and of itself is not very hard to make. Its just a u shaped piece that can be hammered or bent out of flat metal in a big vise. Its getting and duplicating the proper measurments and shape that's the trick.
From what I've seen, getting the stock taillight/license plate bracket out is gonna be fun. I have to completely disassemble the backend including removing the shocks, to remove the strut covers because there is one bolt on each side hidden in between the strut cover and the strut that needs to be removed. Other than that, it'll be a piece of cake.
I actually have a second rear fender that I borrowed. I'm going to attempt to come up with a pattern based on it. I could then take it to my bud where I can fab the actual bracket.
