I have a 08 Softail Custom. I installed 2" forward controls when I got the bike and noticed the original pegs on the TC96 were longer then TC88 Softails. Many suppliers sell controls for "Softails 2000-to present". They fit but depending on brand they may be a bit short causing knees to hit air cleaner / horn especially if you add 2" or 3" extended controls. I've been riding with these a bit short for the last 1 1/2 years. I installed washers between frame and control brackets but want more peg. I thought I would try these:
